How to invest during a recession: a buying plan that works

Should you keep investing during a recession?
For long-term goals, usually yes. Prices are lower, so each unit costs less, and markets have historically recovered from every past recession. The risk is not the fall itself but buying all at once too early, or panic-selling at the bottom.
A plan solves both: decide in advance how much to buy at each level of fall, and stick to it.
