Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Cropping and resizing run entirely in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.
Which formats can I download?
PNG, JPG and WebP. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas turn white.
How do I resize without distortion?
Keep 'Keep proportions' on and change only the width; the height follows automatically.
How do I crop an image to a square or 16:9?
Choose a shape such as 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 or 9:16. The crop box snaps to that ratio and you can still drag it to frame the part you want.
Does the quality drop when I resize?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it larger cannot add detail, so it can look soft. PNG is lossless; for JPG and WebP, a higher quality setting gives a larger file.
Is there a size limit?
You can open images up to 50 MB and export up to 16,000 pixels per side. Very large images may be slow on older phones.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Pick a photo from your gallery, drag the crop box with your finger, then download the result.
