Getting started with Eyrie: how the pieces fit together

The idea: capture once, review everywhere
Eyrie is built around a simple loop: capture your transactions, review what you own, report on outcomes and tax, and research what to do next.
You only type your trades in once. Almost every other page is calculated from them, so the more complete your entries, the more useful the rest of the app becomes.
Owners and accounts: set up first
Eyrie is built for households, not just one person. An owner is a person whose investments you track (you, a spouse, parents, a child). An account is a trading or demat account that belongs to one owner, for example a broker account or a mutual fund account.
You create owners and accounts once in Admin. The app will not open its normal pages until you have at least one owner and one account, and every transaction you add must be attached to an account.
- The 👤 owner selector in the header is global. Pick one owner and every portfolio, P&L, tax and allocation page shows only that person's accounts and data.
- Choose All Owners to see the whole family portfolio combined, which is the right view for diversification and total net worth.
- Pages that still have an account filter list only the selected owner's accounts. An empty account filter means all accounts.
- Tax is filed per person, so use one owner at a time on Tax: Computation and P&L.
Step 1: capture your investments
Start by adding your holdings. Each page below is the source of truth for its asset type:
- Add Stock Transaction for Indian and global stocks.
- Add ETF/MF Transaction for mutual funds and ETFs.
- FD for fixed deposits, with rate, payout schedule and maturity date.
